FALL 2026 ENROLLMENT AGREEMENT
SFD Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Violence, and Retaliation
School policies cover expectations of conduct, grading and attendance policies, and others. The tuition agreement includes payment schedule and refund policy. By signing up for a course at SFD, you agree to these policies.
Anti-Discrimination Policy:

Any student requiring accommodation should speak with the instructor so that appropriate accommodations can be explored. -
When classes are in session, students are welcome to use empty and available SFD classrooms to complete their homework. Students are not permitted to be on the 2nd floor outside of posted hours.
Please clean up and put away your fabric, patterns and supplies.

Students may come up to the second floor earlier. They would just need to wait for the administrative staff/faculty to come in and unlock classrooms. Remember to bring your ID with you to access the building. The front desk staff will not let anyone up to the second floor without an ID. -

Term start dates, recesses, and community events.

Students complete their registration for all classes, polices agreement, and some supplies purchase online.

In-person classes are held at 31 St. James Ave. 2nd Floor, Boston, MA in the Park Square Building.
The school is around the corner from the Arlington stop on the Green Line and a couple of blocks away from the Back Bay Stop on the Orange Line and commuter rail.
MBTA Service updates:
Green Line: From Aug. 8 through Aug. 16, service will be suspended between Government Center and Babcock Street on the B branch; Government Center and Cleveland Circle on the C branch; North Station and Kenmore on the D branch; and Heath Street and North Station on the E branch. Commuters should plan for shuttle buses and longer travel times.On the B branch, shuttles will operate between Babcock Street and Back Bay. Fares will not be collected at surface-level stops through Boston College. Route 57 bus service will also be free.
On the C branch, shuttles will operate between Cleveland Circle and Back Bay. However, the bus service will not be available at Saint Mary’s Street, Kent Street, or Brandon Hall in both directions.
On the D branch, shuttles will operate between Kenmore and Back Bay. Fares will be free at Kenmore and Riverside, where the fare gates will be open, as well as at all surface-level stops west of Kenmore.
On the B, C, and D branches, riders can connect to the Orange Line at Back Bay for continued service.
On the E branch, the Route 39 bus will replace normal service between Heath Street and Back Bay. More buses will be added to the route during the shutdown. The route will be free to ride.
Orange Line: Service will be suspended between Oak Grove and Back Bay from August 20 - 30. Riders can use shuttles between Oak Grove and North Station, and the Green Line between North Station and Copley/Back Bay.
SFD does not provide parking, although there are paid garages in the neighborhood.
The School of Fashion Design has partnered with two local parking garages:
Motor Mart Garage and 200 Stuart Street Garage to offer a daily discounted rate to SFD students and faculty.SFD Discounted Daily Parking Rates for 200 Stuart Street Garage and Motor Mart Garage:
Monday – Friday daily rate: $17
Evening and Weekend rate: $10
Over 12 hours rate: $27
200 Stuart Street, Boston, MA 02116 & 201 Stuart Street, Boston, MA 02116Parking for 12+ hours will result in an increased parking rate.
There is also metered parking on St. James Ave, via debit card or with the ParkBoston App.

Most supplies are not provided by the school. In some cases there is a supply fee on top of tuition for items that students will not be able to acquire on their own.
Be sure you have all your supplies and bring them to your first class. You will use your tools on day one.

We use the Coassemble online learning platform for many of our classes.

Boost your fashion design career with a hands-on internship! Apply your skills in pattern-making, garment construction, and CAD while working alongside industry professionals. Gain real-world experience, learn production workflows, and troubleshoot design challenges, all while earning academic credits for your SFD Certificate in Fashion Design. Internships may be paid or unpaid and offer valuable networking opportunities for future career growth. The program includes regular check-ins with faculty, an orientation, and an evaluation.
