Andrea received her two year certificate from SFD in 2017, and has been working in the field of fashion design ever since. She began as a teaching assistant in the classroom of SFD's Level 1 Clothing Construction and Patternmaking courses, as well as the Teen Clinic. Soon after she began working in Student Services, providing administrative support and helping students find their way through SFD. Originally interested in costume design, Andrea has worked for several independent theater companies in the Boston area before discovering her love of vintage clothing and 1940's/50's-inspired designs. In addition to her work at SFD, Andrea currently produces and sells her own designs, works with other local designers as a sample maker/stitcher, and teaches children and adult sewing classes.
