Students from around the globe attend the School of Fashion Design!  We are proud of the diversity of our student population and consider it an important part of the student experience at SFD.

Application procedures for international students are the same as those for US born students.

International students will be asked to submit financial documents, such as a bank statement in English, verifying their ability to reside in the US for at least one year
(sufficient funds for housing, food and other necessities). SFD reminds international students that normally they may not be employed while in this country.
The School of Fashion Design is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students with an M-1 status.
Per the Department of Homeland Security international students are required to register with SEVIS.

Tuition (ten courses/two semesters) and first year's required supplemental fees, supplies, textbooks, and kits are expected once an M-1 visa is issued.

TOEFEL scores are not required to attend, however, instruction at SFD is conducted in English and a mastery of the language is necessary.

The School of Fashion Design does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
